As usual my year ahead is mapped out by commitments to exhibitions and the desire to continually make new work. At the the moment  I am working on a commission and have started making new pieces for our forthcoming 'Current Obsessions 2' exhibition, an annual collaboration with painters Clare Jenkinson & John Skinner. This exhibition will be at TAAG Gallery and run from 12th - 18th April. This is an opportunity for us to make something a little bit more 'outre'. As it is the year of the snake, I have decided to make a series of large mosaics to celebrate this. I am also revisiting the 'picassiette' tradition of mosaicing using nipped up patterned plates.
